My work focuses on quiet, contemplative environments. These spaces are often unoccupied, yet traces of life remain. The absence of figures invites viewers to enter the work themselves. The paintings begin with places encountered during travel or daily life, but they are not transcriptions. I distill each environment into light, gesture, and atmosphere. Forms are simplified, perspective is elastic, and color is guided as much by feeling as by what was seen.
